Volunteer Testimonials

“Bored of Boredom is such a wholesome, welcoming community that I am proud to be a part of. I’ve only been a tutor for 2 months, but I feel that I truly belong to this great group that furthers such an amazing cause. Two weeks ago, it warmed my heart when one of the students asked a follow-up question during my history course. I know we’re doing great work when kids are engaged because of excellent tutors.”-E.J.

“Bored of Boredom has given me an amazing opportunity to directly help so many children and positively impact their lives. It has truly been one of the best experiences and I am grateful for the strong community that I have built with my fellow tutors and the numerous students I have taught.”-S.T.

“BoB is a place of exploring your own possibilities with the little ones you teach. When kids say ‘that’s amazing,’ it makes me appreciate my time as a tutor more than ever.”-V.L.

“Teaching for BoB is an amazing experience! The leaders are very supportive and bring positive vibes to the entire team. They are super flexible, and allow you to create your own classes!”-G.S.

“BoB is an incredible program for children around the globe who really want to learn. This program has helped me become a great teacher and has helped me develop the skills needed to interact with young children. I have also learned how to maintain a repeating class and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to develop this skill through BoB. I can’t wait to tutor even more kids”-J.H.

“Bored of Boredom has allowed me to explore my interests in education, and with opportunities to tutor 1 on 1, in large groups, and interview other prospective tutors remotely, I have been able to work with individuals of all ages from around the world.”-M.S.
